Under the umbrella of the Arizona Retailers Association, committees are created to address the needs of specific industry segments.  Participation in these committees enhances legislative and regulatory relations, by accommodating the interests of targeted retail business sectors, as well as providing a forum for networking and information sharing.

Arizona Community Pharmacy Committee

The Arizona Community Pharmacy Committee (ACPC) is comprised of representatives of retail businesses that have a pharmacy presence in Arizona. The retail pharmacy industry is a burgeoning sector of the retail community and therefore ACPC was formed to provide specialized representation for pharmacy issues at the state legislature, the Arizona Board of Pharmacy and at the Congressional level through a grassroots network.

Loss Prevention

The Loss Prevention Committee (LPC) is comprised of representatives of retail businesses with the common goal to stem the tide of illegal activity with which the retail industry is confronted, especially organized retail crime.  Shortly after LPC was created the members in collaboration with law enforcement created the Organized Retail Crime Alliance (ORCA).  Monthly meetings of ORCA are held bringing law enforcement and retailers together to combat all property crimes including ORC.  The Committee members engage in legislative activity as well as interact with prosecutors.

ARA Safety Committee

The ARA Safety Committee works with the SCF Workers Compensation program to prevent injuries in the retail work environment. The Committee meets on a quarterly basis, receives specialized safety articles, participates in training seminars and conducts an Annual Meeting.
